If you’re a new member, setting up your profile and listing your home is simple. Start by visiting https://www.myhometoshare.com/members/signup. You’ll be taken to a landing page where you’ll enter your email address and create a password—make sure to record both so you can log in later.

Next, you’ll be prompted to complete your personal profile. Fill in all the required information and click “Complete Profile”. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to view other home listings until your profile is fully completed.

Once your profile is set up, you’ll land on your dashboard. From here, you can browse available home listings or start creating your own listing. It’s that easy to get started with sharing and exploring homes!

Key Tips for Creating Your Home Listing

Important note before you begin: Please note that once your home listing is submitted, your profile cannot be edited. Take your time to complete all details carefully before submission. If you need to make changes later, you can simply select Remove My Listing” and create a new listing with your updated information and images.

Give Your Home a Name

Start by giving your home a title that captures its personality and charm. This could be as simple as “Sunny Family Retreat” or more descriptive like “Lodge-Style Lakefront Escape”. A good name immediately sets the tone for your listing and makes it memorable to potential guests.

Location and Basic Details

Include your city, country, and continent (*without abbreviations) so other members know exactly where your home is located. Be sure to list the number of guests your home can accommodate, along with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. These basic details are essential for families or groups planning their stay.

Describe Your Home and Neighbourhood

Write a warm, informative description highlighting what makes your home special. Include amenities like pools, Wi-Fi, or play areas, and be upfront about any pets or maintenance tasks. Then, give an overview of your neighbourhood—mention nearby attractions, trails, shops, restaurants, or seasonal events that guests might enjoy. This helps visitors picture themselves not just in your home, but in the surrounding community.

Exchange Types Accepted

Let members know which types of exchanges you’re open to, including simultaneous, non-simultaneous, generosity, or hospitality exchanges. Being clear about this ensures a smooth arrangement and sets expectations for everyone involved.

House Rules

Be upfront about any limitations or rules in your home. This might include restrictions for children or babies, smoking, or pets. Clear house rules help prevent misunderstandings and make guests feel more comfortable before they arrive.

List All Your Homes Features

Our system includes over 30 home features to choose from—be sure to check all that apply! Features can range from everyday essentials like a washer, dishwasher, or Wi-Fi, to special amenities such as a pool, hot tub, sauna, or even recreational gear like bikes, kayaks, or a tennis court. A complete feature list ensures members know exactly what to expect and helps your listing stand out.

Upload Quality Photos

Photos are often the first thing we notice, so you can include up to 20 clear images showcasing your home. Use good lighting, tidy your spaces, and highlight unique or inviting areas like bedrooms, living spaces, and outdoor amenities. High-quality images help tell your home’s story and make it irresistible to potential guests.
