A Calling to Share More

Why We Started My Home to Share
It was a vision of hospitality, born at the kitchen table. This journey started with prayer, simplicity, and a big-hearted idea: What if more families could afford to explore the world, rest in safe places, and share God’s love—all without the cost of lodging?
Looking back—we were a family of five, budget travel meant camping trips and road snacks—and we loved it. But we also dreamed of going farther, seeing more, sharing more. God planted the idea of home sharing deep in our hearts, and we kept coming back to these truths:
Hospitality is holy
Every home matters
You don’t need wealth to be generous
Home is where ministry can begin

Our Guiding Scriptures

“Practice hospitality.” —Romans 12:13
“Give, and it will be given to you.” —Luke 6:38
“Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” —Proverbs 19:21
“Go and make disciples of all nations…” —Matthew 28:19
Hospitality in Action

The Story of Liam

For us, “hospitality” has never just meant opening a door—it means opening your life.
In 2000, we welcomed our son Garrett, and in 2001, our daughter Grace. Life was full and happy, and we thought our family was complete. But God had a different plan.
On Grace’s 13th birthday, she invited a boy from school named Liam to her party. When no one came to pick him up afterward, we thought nothing of it—until he began showing up at our home day after day. We invited him to dinner, he did his homework alongside our kids, and over time, we learned more about his life.
One morning, Liam arrived looking troubled. His mom was in jail, and he was living with someone who wasn’t kind to him. He asked if he could live with us. After speaking with his mom, we brought him into our home.
What began as an extra bed in a spare room became something far greater. Liam thrived—he became a born-again Christian, was baptized, excelled in school, discovered his artistic and athletic gifts, and grew in faith. Grace wasn’t thrilled at first, but over time, God softened hearts. By their senior year, Liam and Grace were close—and eventually, they married.
That experience taught us firsthand that you never know what God will do when you say “yes” to opening your home. Sometimes it’s for a night. Sometimes it’s for a lifetime. Always, it’s an opportunity for God’s love to be made real.

Why We Built This Platform

We knew there were other home swap services out there — many very successful. But most emphasized luxury, cliques, or complicated systems based on points and prestige. We wanted something radically different.
We envisioned a faith-based network that was:
Open to all — Christian or not
Rooted in prayer
Generous, not transactional
Focused on people, not property
Fueled by God’s Word, not marketing buzzwords

What Makes This Different?

Here are the pillars of My Home to Share:

A Praying Platform

We offer prayers over members and encourage sharing testimonies, verses, and words of faith.

No Home Too Humble

There’s no rating system. Every home is a blessing. Whether it’s a guest room or a full house, your space matters.

Global Vision, Local Impact

This platform is for everyone — single travelers, couples, families, empty-nesters, retirees, and those just starting out. Whether your home is in the mountains, suburbs, city, or countryside, God can use it.

Let’s Be a Blessing to Others

You don’t have to travel across the world to be part of the mission. Whether you're opening your guest room or planning a trip, your home can be part of something eternal. Through faith-filled hospitality, we help bring people together—across cities, countries, and cultures.
“We plant seeds, you plant seeds, He meets our needs.”
Join us in building a new kind of travel —one led by trust, love, and the Spirit of God.
